I love Pureology and adore its hydrating line, but that tends to be a tad too heavy for my hair in the summer months.
Kerastase is always at the top of my go-to shampoo and conditioner combos, but I wanted to try something new to throw in there when I was in the mood.
Then came this...Redken's Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner (around $16 and $15 each respectfully).
They were actually sitting in my closet just kind of hanging out waiting for me to test them and I just never seemed to get around to it.
So glad I finally gave them a chance.
The shampoo cleans my hair without stripping and the conditioner makes my hair feel soft and silky. After towel drying, I'll just add a touch of my Biosilk serum or their Color Extend Shine Enrich to the mid-shaft of my hair and down, then blow dry.

The result is hair that I keep wanting to run my hands through and protects it against the heat from the blow dryer and (sometimes) flatiron.
In case you're wondering about the scent, it has that Redken product scent that isn't overpowering at all. I wouldn't argue though if Redken ever decided to up the ante and add some yummy fragrance to their line.
If you're looking for some intense hydration, check out their Color Extend Rich Recovery.
It's a deep conditioning treatment that packs a serious dose of moisture. So serious that you might want to avoid this altogether if your hair is on the very fine side. Also, try to remember these words in regards to this stuff...a little goes a long, long way.
You can find more information on Redken products at redken.com as well as find a local salon that carries them. You can also find them at your local Ulta...which generally has insane sales and also has a great return policy.
